Smaller Lottery prizes boosted after no-one wins Saturday's £12m jackpot

National Lottery prizes have been boosted after nobody won Saturday’s “must be won” jackpot, estimated at £12 million.

The Lotto rolldown means the cash increased the value of smaller winnings, with three lucky players scooping £1,049,669 each for matching five balls and the bonus ball.

A further 93 ticket-holders won £4,420 for correctly picking five balls, while 6,393 players bagged £194 for matching four balls. The winning Lotto numbers were 29, 16, 38, 32, 30, 24 and the bonus number was 01. Set of balls 4 were used with draw machine Lancelot. Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is £2 million.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What amazing news – a big jackpot rolldown in tonight’s estimated £12 million ‘must be won’ Lotto draw has resulted in three new millionaires and 1.4 million players winning £5 plus a free Lucky Dip just for matching two main numbers.

“As no ticket-holder won the jackpot, the prize is shared between all the other winners. “On top of this, 153,274 ticket-holders scooped £57, instead of £30, for just matching three main numbers. “We’re urging players to check their tickets to see if they are one of Lotto’s latest winners.”

No-one matched all five numbers to win the top prize of £350,000 in the Lotto HotPicks, which uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw, but 11 players matched four out of five to scoop £13,000.

The £500,000 top prize in the Thunderball draw also went unclaimed, although two players took home £5,000 by matching five balls. The Thunderball winning numbers were 03, 28, 26, 30, 24 and the Thunderball was 08.
