Small Irish restaurant's striking sign grabs attention on local street

A small restaurant in West Cork has grabbed national attention with a striking sign outside their premises.

Annie May's, a locally run business in Skibbereen, has the sign on a blackboard in clear view of the main street.

The purpose of the notice is to tell people how difficult a time this currently is for the hospitality sector.

It reads: "If you would like to know how it feels to be in the hospitality business during the current crisis.

"Remember when the titanic was sinking but the band continued to play? Well we're the band."

The sign was pictured by numerous locals and has since been shared widely on social media with thousands of views.
