A small and independent cafe in Edinburgh's city centre is hosting a giveaway - 'that's a normal thing to do' we hear you cry but this isn't some regular competition for a comped table-for-two.
Scran Bistro on Cockburn Street have surprised social media followers by announcing that they're giving away a trip to Amsterdam.
Scran opened this year during the pandemic and immediately established themselves as a frontrunner in Edinburgh's cafe scene, becoming notorious for their mac and cheese wraps.
However, the wee venue faced setbacks when they were forced to close for a period of time during Edinburgh lockdown restrictions earlier this year due to being considered a 'restaurant' by local authorities.
Now they've said that they want to give back to all of those who have helped them continue through 'the ups and downs' by holding a competition for a trip to Amsterdam.
They wrote: "Hi guys! Thank you all for the amazing support. It has been a crazy year for everyone, some ups and downs but we have a fantastic giveaway for everyone to take part in! You guys have been absolutely incredible this year to us, so as Scran family we wanted to give a holiday that you deserve!"
The winner will be receive a trip to the 'Dam between April 2nd-5th 2021 for two people with all flights and accommodation paid for.
