Illegal-waste blaze dealt with by firefighters in West Dublin

Firefighters were called out to a blaze in the West Dublin part of the city on Monday night.

The fire, which was caused by illegal waste being set alight, was brought under control by the crew, with no-one reported hurt by the incident.

Dublin Fire Brigade sent out a warning about the potential dangers of illegally dumping unwanted rubbish and waste, saying: ‘Waste that hasn’t been disposed of properly can often end up on fire in a community area, causing further damage.”
