Without hesitation I would like to nominate my colleague Warren Cass for leader of the year.
Warren has cultivated a culture of progress, both in our offering and in his commitment to developing the whole team – including myself, who initially joined in the sales team and have progressed to MD. The whole culture is focused on everyone being the best they can be, improving their skills, competence and confidence.
Warren is a true leader who sticks by his morals despite adversity and inspires everyone he comes into contact with. He prizes people and relationships above all else and as a result people want to follow him.
For some context, we are a membership organisation for entrepreneurs and small businesses across the UK. This means Warren’s leadership goes way beyond our small team. He leads a community of business owners and passionately cares about their successes and supporting them through the tougher times.
When he talks at events, people are drawn to him and inspired by what he has to say. He speaks on change in the future and how this will impact all businesses.
Despite his growing profile, Warren remains modest, approachable and authentic. Without a doubt he is one of the most impressive leaders I have seen.
