I am nominating my inspirational wife, Nicola, who gave up her 9-5 job to open a new shop in the quiet town of Stalybridge last October, and has not looked back since.
In such difficult times for retail, Nicola has started a business from scratch and focused on customer experience. The eye for detail, amazing window displays, and warm customer service have brought people back time and again.
The tag line is Personal, Vintage, Inspiring. Nicola is an inspiration to me and always has been, and that is now being seen by many in the local area. Nicola has built up a loyal Facebook following and the feedback from customers is excellent – the best compliment being that they could spend hours in the shop!
Nicola named the shop after her two grandmothers who were an inspiration to her. She works so hard to give each and every customer the best customer experience. Nicola sells fantastic gifts for all occasions, but also works tirelessly restoring and painting old furniture, tables, chairs and welsh dressers.
Many customers now come in with their furniture asking Nicola to refurbish and paint, and she has even inspired others to restore furniture themselves. The care and attention Nicola gives to every detail is there for all to see. I could not be prouder.
