Three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 15-year-old boy has been stabbed to death after an argument at a skate park in Slough.
The victim was attacked in Salt Hill Park, Stoke Poges Lane, at around 6.30pm on Saturday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics but has not yet been formally identified.
Thames Valley Police arrested two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old on suspicion of murder on Sunday. Both remain in custody.
Detectives said they believed the victim was stabbed “following an altercation involving a group of males”.
“We have launched a murder investigation following this incident and our officers are at the scene carrying out enquiries in order to locate those responsible for this crime,” said Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood.
“I believe that a number of other people were in the skate park at the time this occurred, so I would like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident to come forward, if they have not already done so.”
Police also appealed for any mobile footage of the attack and information about the suspect.
“If you have any information or footage which you think could help our investigation, please do the right thing, come forward and speak to us,” said DCI Shearwood.
“Members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area today as we continue to carry out enquiries.
“I would like to further reassure people that we believe that all of those involved in this incident were known or associated with each other, and that this was not a random attack.”
A postmortem examination is scheduled for Sunday evening. The boy’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.
