Slough crash: Girl, 6, dies after being hit by car as she crossed the road

A six-year-old girl died after being hit by a car as she crossed the road in Slough.

The child was hit by a car in Cippenham Lane, Slough, at 6.17pm and the collision involved a white Volkswagen Passat.

The girl suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Wrexham Park Hospital, where she later died.

The car involved stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made following the crash.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.

Investigating officer, Sergeant Darren Brown of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident in which a six-year-old girl has died.

“Her next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers and our thoughts are with them at this time.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was driving in the area at the time, or who saw this incident or who has any dash cam footage.”
