Slipknot announce London show as part of 2020 UK tour

Slipknot have announced a brand new tour for next year, including a show in London.

Specific dates and venues have yet to be revealed, although the band have confirmed they’ll be performing in eight UK cities as part of the run.

Fans in Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham and London will all be treated to live shows in 2020.

The band announced the news this morning via Twitter, providing a pre-order ticket link and writing: "We'll be returning to select cities across Europe & the UK in 2020, with dates and venues to be announced at a later time."

The extensive run of European shows will also see the band visit the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland and more.

Further details of the tour will be announced over the coming weeks.

It comes as the band prepare to release their sixth album We Are Not Your Kind next month, marking their first LP since 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter.

Slipknot, led by frontman Corey Taylor, performed at Download Festival in Donington Park last month, sharing the bill with the likes of Slash, Smashing Pumpkins and Slayer.

One of the most popular metal bands of the last few decades, Slipknot first formed in 1995 and have achieved two number one albums in the US.
