Slimming World member's 'diet cheesecake' leaves people horrified

A post about Slimming World cheesecake has gone viral - and people are hating it.

The cheesecake is the latest bizarre food trend to gain online attention, and it's for all the wrong reasons, reports the Mirror .

A screenshot of a post in a private Slimming World Facebook group was shared on Twitter by a member and it has left people confused and calling it an “abomination”.

In the post, an unknown person shared a look at their homemade 'cheesecake', which contains a number of ingredients you can eat while following a Slimming World diet plan.

To make their cheesecake, they used Crunchy Nut cornflakes as a base, then mixed together quark, Laughing Cow spreadable cheese and Options white hot chocolate powder.

The mixture was then spread on top of the cereal in a plastic bowl, before uploading a post into the Slimming World Tasty Meal and treat group.

Another member of the group shared a screenshot of the original post to Twitter and said: “I thought this was a joke. It’s not a joke.”

The Tweet has quickly gone viral, gaining more than 1,000 likes and hundreds of retweets.

Many users were quick to share their disgust with the product.

One person said: “Another cracking example of how s*** some "diet recipes" are.

“Just eat a small, ACTUAL cheesecake and have some fruit FFS.”

Another added: “That’s horrific and no more a cheesecake than putting a babybell on top of a Jaffa cake.”

One person just said: “Just got a little bit of sick in my mouth.”

“Is this a form of aversion therapy? Eat this and you'll never look at any kind of cheese cake ever again?” added another.

Though not everyone was completely against the dish.

One person said: “C’mon - it’s actually got “cheese” in it, and a “cereal”- based bottom layer! Give em a break.”

Another just added: “Would probably eat.”
