Slimming World member makes 'diet cheesecake' - and people are horrified

Now, we've been seeing some downright bizarre food trends online as of late.

For instance, at the start of the month people couldn't stop talking about Gene Simmons putting and naturally it inspired other people to try it.

Now, people can't stop talking about a cheesecake - if you can even call it that.

That's because a post from a private Slimming World Facebook group has gone viral, after a member shared a screenshot of it on Twitter .

In the post, an unknown person shares a look at their homemade take on cheesecake, which contains a number of ingredients you can eat while following a Slimming World plan.

To make their cheesecake, they used Crunchy Nut cornflakes as a base, then mixed together quark, Laughing Cow spreadable cheese and Options white hot chocolate powder.

This mixture was then spread on top of the cereal in a plastic container.

They uploaded photos of the ingredients and the finished result in the group Slimming World Tasty Meal and treats, captioning the post: "Just done a cheesecake for later."

This was then put on Twitter by a horrified user who said: "I thought this was a joke. It's not a joke."

The tweet quickly went viral, garnering over 1,000 likes and more than 100 retweets.

Many fellow users were quick to share their disgust.

"Another cracking example of how s**t some 'diet recipes' are," wrote one user. "Just eat a small, ACTUAL cheesecake and have some fruit FFS."

A second replied: "That's horrific and no more a cheesecake than putting a babybell on top of a Jaffa Cake."

"Just got a little bit of sick in my mouth," commented someone else.

A fourth added: "Is this a form of aversion therapy? Eat this and you'll never look at any kind of cheesecake ever again?"

However not everyone was completely against the dish.

A different user said: "C’mon - it’s actually got 'cheese' in it, and a 'cereal'- based bottom layer! Give em a break."
