Chart topper Adele has paid shared an intimate insight into her close friendship with Nicole Ritchie in a heartwarming birthday post.
The star, who has recently been showing off a seven-stone weight loss - posted a video of the pair overcome with laughter after a prank.
In the clip, TV personality Nicole can be seen hiding behind an oven, ready to pounce as Adele walked by.
Adele screamed as Nicole leapt out at her, then muttered, "f**k's sake" as she jokingly stormed off, her heart racing.
Nicole clearly found it hilarious, as the star was seen struggling to breathe through laughter, lying on the floor unable to move as she silently shook.
Adele paid tribute to her hilarious friend in an Instagram post captioning the video: "Happy belated birthday to my daily dose of grace @nicolerichie I admire you and love you so much. You are the epitome of self preservation, self love and absolute savagery!
"You are so so cherished by so many angel girl! Keep making us laugh babes, we adore you to the moon and back."
The Hello singer then shared a string of throwback photos of the pair together, marking other special moments throughout her friendship with Nicole.
In one snap, the pair were together with a giraffe, where in another, Adele can be seen giggling while Nicole is pretending to be a mime from behind a window.
In another, the pair are dressed for a red carpet event and posing in front of a fake bookshelf, with Adele smiling off into the distance as Nicole poses for the camera.
It is understood the pair have been firm friends since Adele moved to California with now ex-husband Simon Konecki and their young son Angelo.
However Adele has since moved back to the UK while Nicole remains in the US - and it's unclear when the pals saw each other last.
The singer is now rumoured to be dating grime star Skepta after the two were spotted out on a date in east London on Friday night.
The singer and her new love-interest, real name Joseph Junior Adenuga, were seen at the video arcade OTHERWORLD in Haggerston. An eyewitness told the Metro: "Adele looked great and they seemed happy being out together in the public view.
"They were in the middle of the bar having their drinks while they were getting ready for the VR experience. I think they must have played the zombie game because they were shouting and screaming."
