Sligo Rovers snap up attacker Jesse Devers ahead of new League of Ireland season

Sligo Rovers have bolstered their attacking ranks by snaring Jesse Devers.

The former Finn Harps and Galway United man, 23, impressed on trial for Liam Buckley’s Bit O’Red.

Devers said: “’I’ve been working hard to show the manager that I can do well but the real work starts now.”

Rovers boss Buckley said: “Jesse is quick, sharp and he can finish. He can play on the wing or any role in attack so he will add to the group.”

And Buckley added that his pre-season shopping spree hasn’t finished yet.

“We’re still in the market if something comes along between now and February 22 which is when the window closes.”
