Sligo have only suffered one defeat in their last 10 games, and that was to Dundalk, but Liam Buckley is on high alert heading to Ballybofey.
Finn Harps remain rooted to the bottom of the table while Sligo are up to sixth on the back of their run, but Buckley is conscious of their previous meetings with Ollie Horgan's charges this season - a tough 2-1 away win in Finn Park, and a late equaliser at the Showgrounds.
“The win we had in Ballybofey was very hard fought and in The Showgrounds it was almost the last kick of the game not to lose, so we know what we’re facing," said Buckley.
“It’s going to be a real battle, and in Finn Park, every team, especially outside the top two, has it tough. We've had a good preparation and we want to hit the ground running for the rest of the season.
"There 's improvement in the group, they’ve worked extremely hard and I've no doubt they'll do that again. We want to kick on and see where it can take us."
Harps have been joined in the basement by UCD, but the Students have three games in hand.
"We've a big challenge ahead of us but we’re ready to cut take a cut off it and see where that takes us," said Horgan. "We need to start picking up points".
