Sligo manager Paul Taylor adds former Roscommon star Nigel Dineen to management team

Sligo boss Paul Taylor has added former Roscommon footballer Nigel Dineen to his management team as he hopes for a change in fortunes in 2020.

Dineen won a Connacht title as a player in 2001 and later led his county to All-Ireland under-21 final appearances in 2012 and ‘14 before contending for the senior manager’s job last year.

He joins John McPartland and Joe Keane on Taylor’s management team, while Damien Eames will be the goalkeeping coach with Sean Boyle overseeing strength and conditioning.

Sligo endured a torrid 2019, Taylor’s first season in charge, as they lost all nine League and Championship games, suffering relegation to Division Four.

They will play the winners of Galway and New York in next year’s Connacht semi-final.
