We've been told not to judge books by their covers since we were small, and with good reason. At the same time, early information about the upcoming Super73 MZFT e-bike makes it really, truly difficult not to be optimistic about what Super73 is trying to do here.
For a start, both the styling and the colors shown on the brand's Instagram are absolutely on point. I fully admit that I'm biased here; something that will undoubtedly not surprise you if you've seen the kinds of paint and graphics schemes that I profess to love on motorcycles. Bold, super-saturated purple and teal are kind of my weakness, especially when taken together. The combination of black and dark gray on the side of the battery pack is also very, very good.
But once again, it's not just about style! No, there's practicality involved here, too; something I definitely love. While it's true that Super73 has yet to post full specs for the MZFT just yet, it specifically calls out "a modular second battery for longer rides" as well as "internal lockable storage for added security."
And literally, no joke, those are two mods that I very recently made to my own Ride1Up Revv1. Why? Because of course I want double the battery power and a lockable storage compartment! If you're taking any kind of lengthy trip on your e-bike, you probably do, too. Maybe you've already made similar mods. I also added a rear basket with a handy bungee cargo net to hold items in the basket and not let them bounce out if I hit a rough bit of terrain.
While we don't have a specific mention of what storage capacity the little lockable underseat storage area has, you can see in the images posted by Super73 that it's quite small. Would a small water bottle fit inside? Unclear, but some tools, a first aid kit, and some other small items definitely would. Everyone's different, but having a spare modular battery and even just a little lockable storage area is a nice change, particularly if it's not something you have to pay extra to upgrade, and it just comes as part of the standard package.

Anyway, according to Super73, the MZFT will be available to buy on November 8, 2025, with online sales to begin on November 10, 2025. That's less than a month away, so hopefully important information like battery capacity, estimated range (even though that varies wildly on EVs), and of course size/weight/pricing information will be available by then.
From the images, it looks as though the MZFT shown here is aimed at kids. Will there be multiple sizes available to fit a wider range of riders? Maybe, maybe not. There's a line in Super73's post about the upcoming model that says, "The MZFT is the first in a new generation of Super73, with different sizes and styles for riders tired of squeezing into someone else's mold."
Depending on how you read that line, there could be multiple sizes of the MZFT itself, or else the MZFT is one bike built on a platform that will also accommodate other sizes/styles under different model names. RideApart has reached out to Super73 for clarification, and will report back if we receive an update.
