90’s nostalgia fans will be happy to hear that Sleeper are returning to Bristol off the back of their first album in 21 years This Modern Age.
After splitting back in 1998, the band has reformed to showcase its Britpop style of observational lyrics and big, melody driven hooks.
Sleeper enjoyed critical and commercial success in the 90’s having 8 top 40 singles across 3 top 10 albums that garnered over a million sales.

At first, they initially never saw themselves getting back together, but after some phone calls between band members – things started to fall into place for a new album and tour.
The band, fronted by Louise Wener, are revitalising their sound by updating it to modern trends with the new music having a fresh, contemporary feel to it.
She said: “We had no plan to get back together. Sometimes life throws you a massive curveball. You end up jumping off the cliff, just to see what it feels like.
“If you’d have asked us eighteen months ago, none of us would have predicted we’d be here now.

And on April 12, Sleeper are coming to Bristol’s 02 Academy, so people will have the chance to see the band perform their new album and classic hits from the 90’s.
