Slavia Prague vs Arsenal: Alexandre Lacazette can be the difference in Europa League tie

Mikel Arteta knows what is at stake in tonight's match in the Czech Republic - it is their only chance of Champions League football after all.

Arsenal are currently the favourites at 4/5 with Betfred while hosts Slavia Prague are 18/5 and a draw is 11/4.

The Gunners go into this match in form having lost only two in their last 10 matches but could only draw with their Europa League opponents 1-1 in last week's tie.

Consistency has been an issue for Arteta's side this season and could be in for a similar match tonight with both sides looking to make the most of each other's defensive weaknesses.

Which is probably why the bookies have priced this match at 5/6 for both teams to score.

Tips

  • Alexandre Lacazette to score anytime - 20/21
  • Both teams to score - 5/6

For Arsenal, they will be looking at Alexandre Lacazette for some level of consistency if they have any chance of progressing to the next round of Europe's second-tier competition.

The Frenchman scored two goals at Sheffield United at the weekend, which could be a sign of a late revival in Arsenal's European qualification.

However, still being in the Europa League has its perks and Champions League qualification will be the priority.

Whether or not Arteta can guide them in the right direction is another matter to discuss at the end of the season.
