Slaven Bilic has been hit with a charge of improper conduct following his red card against Everton.
The West Brom boss was sent off at half-time of Saturday's game at Goodison and watched the second period from the stands.
Bilic now faces further sanctions from the Football Association who have taken a dim view of his confrontation with referee Mike Dean.
An FA spokeman has this morning said: "Slaven Bilić has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3.
"It is alleged that the West Bromwich Albion FC manager’s language and/or behaviour on the field of play at half time of the Premier League fixture against Everton FC on 19/09/20 amounts to improper conduct."
Bilic was unhappy as West Brom's lead at Goodison was overturned as Everton scored twice before the break, with the Blues' equaliser awarded after a VAR review.
And their frustrations were compounded when Kieran Gibbs was sent off after lashing out at James Rodriguez.
After the game, former Everton defender Bilic said: "As a manager I should be in a situation to ask the referee what's going on.
"It's not like the game was going on, it was half-time - nobody was around. I didn't swear. I asked him in a frustrated way but I didn't go over the line. But he just ignored me and gave me red.
"As a manager you have that right if you are not crossing the line. I told him if you want to kill us, kill us. That's all."
Bilic has until Thursday to respond to the charge.
