Multiple fire appliances are currently tackling a blaze at the A70/Slateford Road.
Emergency call handlers received seven calls from Edinburgh locals after they saw smoke billowing from a building.
There are currently two fire appliances, one height appliance, and eleven firefighters battling the blaze, which is understood to be on the first floor of a derelict and unsecured building.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received their first call about the incident at around 20.41 on Sunday, August 8.
