Slap-fighting 300lb heavyweight fights lightweight in phone box on frozen lake

You've heard of boxing fights being so action-packed they might as well have been held in a phone box.

Well now a slap-fighting champion has taken part in an actual fight in an actual phone box.

Vasily Kamotsky, a renowned Siberian slap-fighter, took on a much smaller opponent, who is credited as a mixed martial artist, in the red phone box which was dumped in the middle of a frozen lake. Organised by Russian promotional outfit Punch Club, the phone box is transported to the lake and the fighters driven to their 'ring'.

Kamotsky weighed 142kg (313lb) for the bout with his opponent scaling just 62kg (136lb). And it came as no surprise that the bigger man was able to dominate his rival. Kamotsky also had the advantage of wearing looser trousers than his opponent who bizarrely opted to wear jeans for the encounter.

The fighters started back-to-back in the phone box before turning to face each other as the fight started. Kamotsky was able to use his considerable size advantage to overwhelm his opponent with the bout twice halted temporarily in the opening round.

The sessions were only one minute in length with the lightweight attempting to take the fight to his heavyweight rival in the second round but he ends up under pressure again as a count is administered. The third and final round follows a familiar pattern as Kamotsky targets his opponent's body before dropping him with 15 seconds remaining. The fight is waved off with five seconds left on the clock.

A second fight was also held in the phone box while the promotion also pitted two fighters together in the front seats of a car. Legendary strongman Viktor Blud took on bench press world record holder Kirill Sarychev. The car was pushed on to the same frozen lake for the event referred to as 'carjitsu'. After two rounds of an underwhelming 'fight', the bout was scored an underwhelming draw.
