A skydiver trailing a giant US flag crashed into an electronic scoreboard during a college football spring game in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Saturday (18 April).
Footage from inside Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium showed two skydivers descending into the arena before one of them hits an electronic scoreboard above the stands and becomes entangled.
Emergency crews were later seen using an aerial ladder to reach the skydiver as the audience in the stadium applauded and cheered.
Virginia Tech said in a statement that the skydiver was safely brought to the ground without injury.
