Sky TV announces new cheaper way to get BT Sport

For the first time ever BT Sport has been included into standard Sky TV sports packages.

Sports fans can now combine all eight Sky Sports channels alongside all four BT Sport channels into just one single bill for the first time.

Packages start from £35 per month, which is a saving of 35% on previous packages. Existing Sky Sports customers meanwhile can add on BT Sport for an additional £25 a month.

Deals including both Sky and BT Sport can also be found on Sky's Deals & Offers page.

A larger package adds in both Sky Sports, BT Sport and Sky Entertainment including 300 channels for £47 per month. To find out more about the deals, click here.

It's a year of change for Sky, whose latest agreement with BT is the latest in a series of new content partnerships. Deals have also recently been signed with BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, Netflix and Warner Media.

Throughout 2020, Sky will also start building new studios in Elstree. The production will cost somewhere in the region of £3bn and will result in around 2000 new jobs.

In a bid to keep up with the times, both Sky and BT appear eager to offer customers and prospective customers more control over their content.

BT Sport have recently announced a Monthly Pass that prevents the need to be tied into a fixed-term contract.

Sky TV meanwhile continue to push their Now TV Day, Week and Monthly Pass which will soon be introducing BT channels.

Sky's new BT-inclusive packages are available on 18-month contract here.
