Sky Sports pundits have their say on whether QPR and Millwall will avoid relegation

The race for promotion from the Championship looks to be one of the most exciting in recent years, but the scrap at the bottom isn't shaping up too badly either.

Things look bleak for Ipswich Town and Bolton Wanderers who are 13 and eight points clear from safety respectively, but as far as the final relegation spot goes it's anything but clearcut.

Just five points separate 17th to 22nd place in the Championship, and with just six games left it appears that there could be plenty of twists and turns over the next month.

Reading, Rotherham, Wigan Athletic and Birmingham City are now plausibly in the battle alongside London duo Queens Park Rangers and Millwall.

Both sides go head to head at The Den on Wednesday night in a fixture which could be pivotal in the scrap at the bottom, but according to the experts neither side will find themselves in real trouble.

Sky Sports asked their EFL specialists who they thought would be relegated to League One, with none of the pundits predicted the drop for QPR or Millwall.

While this will be a boost for both clubs, I'm sure that the two camps will be taking those predictions with a pinch of salt until they find themselves mathematically secure.

Here's who each of the pundits predicted would be relegated and why.

Scott Minto: "Reading, Bolton, Ipswich. I feel like the Royals' home form will cost them in the run-in. Rotherham will edge them out."

Danny Higginbotham: "Reading, Bolton, Ipswich. Rotherham have incredible spirit and there is no pressure on them. I'm going to have to say Reading to join the other two."

David Prutton: "Rotherham, Bolton, Ipswich. Rotherham have put up an incredible fight this season but I think they will just fall short."

Don Goodman: "Reading, Bolton, Ipswich. Reading have the tougher run-in and I think that will prove decisive."

Andy Hinchcliffe: "Reading, Bolton, Ipswich. The way they play isn't hugely convincing and they have tough games so I see Reading getting dragged down."

Keith Andrews: "Reading, Bolton, Ipswich. I know for a fact Rotherham and Millwall are up for the fight, but Reading don't convince me at all."
