Sky Sports pundit spots what Marcos Alonso did before Mason Mount's 'brilliant' goal vs Wolves

Sky Sports commentator Andy Hinchcliffe has accused Marcos Alonso of diving in the build-up to Chelsea’s first goal against Wolves.

The Blues require just a draw from their final-day clash with Wolves, with Leicester City knowing they need to bear Manchester United in the other game at the same time to have any hope of their own.

The only way the Blues can miss out is if they lose and Leicester either draw or win themselves at the expense of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.

Chelsea v Wolves: Frank Lampard press conference

And after an even opening at Stamford Bridge, Frank Lampard’s side opened the scoring two minutes into first-half stoppage time.

Mason Mount curled a stunning free-kick into the far corner of the net from a good 25-yards out after Pedro Neto was judged to have brought Alonso down.

However, replays suggested that the Spaniard went down rather easily, with Hinchcliffe, during his Sky commentary, accusing him of diving.

He said: “Marcos Alonso just dives and goes to ground.

“Initially Neto goes to clear it realises Alonso is there and goes to pull his foot away there is no contact and it is not a free-kick.

“Mason Mount can’t worry about that. It is inch-perfect. Right-footer from that position you can’t do no more than this.

“There is no chance for a very good goalkeeper, Patricio, to keep this out. The technique, the pace on it, the accuracy. It is just spot on. A brilliant free-kick.”

Just two minutes later and Mount fed Olivier Giroud who added a second just before the half-time interval.
