Legendary Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling provided a very telling live reaction when Everton co-owner, Farhad Moshiri, claimed that the sacking of Frank Lampard was not his decision.
Lampard’s tenure at Goodison Park is under huge threat with his Everton side recording only recording three wins in the Premier League after 20 matches played and having lost all but one of the seven fixtures since the start of November.
This concerning run of form has led to questions over Lampard’s future at the club, despite only succeeding Rafael Benítez as manager just under a year ago in January of 2022.

Saturday evening’s clash against fellow relegation battling West Ham United presented a perfect opportunity to win over the Everton faithful and distance themselves from the top division’s drop zone.
However, a first half double from West Ham’s Jarred Bowen at a buoyant London Stadium proved too much for Lampard’s side to overcome.
Following the disappointing defeat, Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright and owner Farhad Moshiri, were questioned about whether or not a decision to replace Lampard would be made, to which they provided confusing responses.
Kenwright stated that he would “never ever say that to you” regarding transparency of the manager’s future while the owner Moshiri claimed “it’s not my decision” when quizzed over a potential pending decision.
The replies both amused and perplexed the Sky Sports Soccer Saturday punditry panel, led by presenter Stelling.
“Farhad Moshiri, you heard him say there it’s not his decision,” he said. “He’s the owner of the football club, so you would have thought it probably is his decision.
“But he’s certainly not going to be committing to [an answer], and rightly for goodness’ sake, nobody wants any decision like that to be made publicly, especially over somebody as good as Frank Lampard.”
