Sky Sports cameras capture classy gesture from Manchester City players to Heung-Min Son

Manchester City players were pictured consoling Heung-Min Son after their Carabao Cup victory.

City lifted the trophy for a fourth-successive time at Wembley with a 1-0 win thanks to Aymeric Laporte's 82nd-minute header.

In truth, it was a match that City deserved to win after dominating the match from the start until the end, with wasteful finishing costing them until the Frenchman's header.

Whilst City players and staff celebrated their latest triumph in front of supporters, Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden were seen speaking to an emotional Son.

Captured by the Sky Sports cameras, Gundogan was first to give Son some words of encouragement before Foden came over and patted the South Korea international on the back.

Kevin de Bruyne then came over to offer some words of comfort in a classy gesture from the City squad.

After the match, Laporte admitted his relief at finally breaking down a stubborn Tottenham defence to win the trophy.

"We are so happy to win this title again," Laporte told Sky Sports.

"It’s very special for us because we lost in the FA Cup, so it’s good for us to get confidence and keep going like we have done in the past few months. We’ve been so, so good, so we have to keep playing this way to win more titles.

“It was difficult because they have good players, a good team, it’s never easy to play against a team like that. Today, we handled them very well, so we’re very happy to win today and win the trophy as well."
