Sky Sports Box Office problem leaves Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr customers fuming

Boxing fans took to social media to complain that Sky Sports Box Office's online stream of the Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr fight keeps cutting out.

The action began several hours ago with the undercard bouts but as the clock ticked down to the main event, customers began to have problems.

And having paid £19.95 to watch Joshua's latest world heavyweight title defence, they are unhappy about the technical difficulties.

One wrote: "Purchased the AJ ppv through an online account and it keeps signing me out every 5 mins when watching. any fixes?"

Another asled: "I paid n this sky go app just stops working its on record to box how can i fix this help??"

Another Twitter user complained: "What is the point in me paying for the AJ fight through my phone, if I can not watch it on my phone..."

The Sky Help Team on Twitter have been helping users throughout the night with Joshua and Ruiz due in the ring at 3.30am.

Meanwhile, Ruiz Jhopes to use his extra weight as a weapon against Joshua when the pair meet at Madison Square Garden.

Joshua will defend his IBF, WBA and WBO titles against Ruiz, who is looking to become the first Mexican heavyweight champion.

While the Brit came in at 247.5lb for his debut fight in the United States, Ruiz tipped the scales at 268lb during Friday's weigh in.

And the 29-year-old hopes the pounds will help him overcome his height and reach disadvantage.

"That was the game plan,'' said Ruiz. "We're fighting someone big, someone taller than me. So I want to carry that weight well so my punches are going to hit harder."

Joshua brings an undefeated record of 22 wins, including 21 knockouts, to the ring against Ruiz.

He had been scheduled to fight Jarrell Miller but the New York State Athletic Commission refused to sanction the fight after Miller failed a drugs test.

"Tomorrow night, I put the titles in the air and they're up for grabs,'' Joshua said. "And me and him go to war. So the best man wins."
