Sky Sports have wielded the axe again by cancelling popular football shows Goals on Sunday and The Debate as their dramatic overhaul continues.
Already this week the broadcaster has sacked presenter Scott Minto and Soccer Saturday pundits Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson in a shock shake-up.
Now producers are scrapping two more programmes after announcing earlier this month they would be shelving Sunday Supplement.
Goals on Sunday has been running since 2000 with Chris Kamara hosting throughout its entirety, while Alex Scott joined him on the sofa last year along with big-name guests appearing every week.
Meanwhile The Debate was fronted by Laura Woods, Geoff Shreeves and David Prutton, who discussed the talking points of the week's football.
A report from The Telegraph announced Sky's plans to scrap both shows, and there could be others to follow.
The news regarding the Soccer Saturday trio was the biggest surprise given the popularity of the show which has a huge following.
Rather than using a set lineup of pundits each week Sky will now be selecting from a pool of personalities who will appear on a rotating basis.
Jeff Stelling will still host the show and Paul Merson is also expected to continue appearing.
After the news regarding Le Tissier and co. earlier this week though there are suggestions Stelling could step down from his role.
He tweeted: "One of my saddest days ever at Sky Sports with the departure of three of my best mates.
“They have been part of a team that for me was the best."
Micah Richards and Alex Scott are two of the names mentioned who could fulfil the duties going forward.
A spokesman for Sky said: “We are changing some parts of our football coverage.
"Matt, Charlie and Phil have done a great job for us over the years, and they will leave us with our sincere thanks and very best wishes.”
