Sky Sports have announced their new line-up of pundits for Gillette Soccer Saturday after deciding to revamp the longstanding show.

It follows the sackings of Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson.

The Premier League begins tomorrow and it will mark the beginning of a new era for the show,  with Jeff Stelling remaining as presenter.

Stelling will still be joined by Paul Merson and Chris Kamara, but Saturday will see him joined by Sue Smith, Clinton Morrison, Alan McInally and Glen Johnson.

Adebayo Akinfenwa, Tim Sherwood, Robbie Fowler and Joleon Lescott will also be part of the show this season.

The broadcaster also confirmed changes to their team of pundits for live coverage of the Premier League, with Patrice Evra, Roy Keane and Micah Richards set to be permanent fixtures this term.

Presenters David Jones and Kelly Cates will be joined by regulars Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp.

Sky’s first Premier League game of the season will be the 5:30pm kick-off on Saturday as champions Liverpool take on newly-promoted Leeds at Anfield.

That will be followed by the late kick-off at 8pm as West Ham host Newcastle.

While Sunday’s action will see West Brom take on Leicester, and Tottenham host Everton.

Sky Sports Director of Football Gary Hughes revealed his delight at assembling the team.

He said: "With fans currently unable to attend matches in person, it is imperative we provide the best possible TV and digital coverage to our audiences.

"Confirming Patrice, Micah and Roy to add to our existing line-up of award-winning pundits is brilliant news and we will strive to take the game closer to fans than ever before with increased live action, highlights and analysis.”
