Sky pundits have noticed something about Christian Eriksen since new Tottenham stadium opened

Christian Eriksen was the toast of Tottenham Hotspur supporters on Tuesday night as his late goal sealed all three points against Brighton and Hove Albion.

With Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min and Fernando Llorente not having the best of times in attack, the playmaker - not for the first time in recent weeks - stepped up when his team needed him the most.

Of the eight goals scored in the new Tottenham stadium, Eriksen has been involved in five of them (two goals and three assists) and his 88th minute strike could prove to be crucial in Spurs' attempts to finish in the top four.

And Sky Sports pundits Liam Rosenior and Jamie Redknapp believe the switch to the new stadium has energised the Denmark international.

"It’s a world class goal from a world class player. It’s an incredible strike, it’s his left foot, his supposed weaker foot," Rosenior said. "When you’re Brighton and you’re tired, you’re going deeper and deeper, you’re going to give up shots from outside the box but that’s an absolute arrow into the bottom corner.

"Since he’s come to this new stadium he’s flourished in this environment. He’s a world class player and you need that when you’re playing against a team that has defended as well as Brighton had in this game."

"It’s a brilliant strike, he’s balanced as he hit it, there’s not much of a follow through so that creates the punt feel like Ronaldo hits him like that, hits them low, especially as it’s on his left foot," Redknapp added.

“Normally you’re saying to most players they’re comfortable with that, he probably won’t score from 25 yards, it is a brilliant strike. This stadium has breathed life into him. Until he came here, he was having a bit of a spell if you like, he had seven attempts today.

"He’s a brilliant technical player off either foot."
