Christmas season is well and truly open in adland. We’ve had the online premiere of the John Lewis Christmas ad, heralding an avalanche of retailers’ festive commercials breaking on TV this weekend. Jostling for viewers’ attention amid the fake snow and baubles during X Factor ad breaks on Saturday will be Sky Movies’ Christmas promo, “Step into the Adventure”, from agency WCRS. The jaunty effort features a family of Sky Movies viewers encountering Kermit, Statler and Waldorf and other assorted Muppets, Spidey, The Lego Movie’s Emmet and Frozen’s Olaf.
