Sky makes big change to sports pass ahead of Premier League return

Premier League football restarts next week with all 92 remaining matches set to be shown live on TV.

Broadcasting rights will be split up across five channels, with 33 of the games available free-to-air.

In one potential blow to TV viewers, however, one cost-cutting avenue has been removed in the form of NOW TV Sky Sports Weekly Passes.

Weekly Passes were put in place as a way to access Sky's 11 sports channels without being tied down to a fixed-term contract.

Ahead of what promises to be an action-packed Premier League and Sky Bet Championship schedule, however, this option has now been removed from their website.

Despite this new change, three of NOW TV's Sports Pass options do still remain an option.

Month-long passes, which will include a number of extra fixtures than normal, are available for £33.99.

The cheapest option, the Sky Sports Mobile Month Pass, is priced at £5.99.

If you've never used NOW TV before, you can access their Passes through iOS, Android, Chromecast, Windows, Mac, select LG and Samsung Smart TV's, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and various streaming devices like Apple TV and Roku TV.

NOW TV also offer their own device, the Now TV Smart Stick, which comes with voice search capability and its own remote control.
