Sky launches cheap broadband and TV package from just £30 per month

Sky has launched a cheap broadband and TV package and is promising customers they will get their money back if their internet and downloads speeds are not fast enough.

Those who are looking to switch to a cheaper deal may want to take a look at the new Sky offer which has launched this week.

Sky is giving customers a Sky Q box and access to speedy broadband for just £30 per month, normally Sky's broadband alone usually costs £25 per month so that means you're getting Sky Q for just £5 extra.

The award-winning Sky Q box can record a number of shows at once, plus there are full voice controls that allow you to find content, change channels and even fast forward or rewind just by asking. Plus it's a cheaper option to those who want Sky and don't want to sign up for their more lucrative Sky Glass package.

Sky's fibre broadband package, Superfast 35, has guaranteed speeds of 25 mb/s for £28 a month for 18 months, or £30 a month with the Sky Q box. Sky has also said if those speeds are not met customers can get a refund.

Available to the majority of the UK (96%) and delivered through Fibre to the Premises ( FTTP ) in rolled out areas, the new package promises great speeds and value, at just £30 per month.

Both new and existing customers can benefit from the Superfast 35 package which includes:

  • An average download speed of 36 Mb/s, with no usage caps and average upload speeds of 9 Mb/s
  • A Speed Guarantee, which gives a minimum guaranteed speed of 25 Mb/s or money back (the 25mbps speed guarantee is only applicable to FTTP customer. All other Superfast 35 customers will get a personalised speed guarantee based on their line speed)
  • The ability to stream the latest entertainment in UHD on one device
  • Safe and speedy usage with Sky Broadband Shield as standard, helping make the internet a safer place for your whole family at no extra cost
  • The latest Sky Broadband Hub – available to new customers

Aman Bhatti, Director of Propositions at Sky Broadband, said: “The launch of Superfast 35 demonstrates Sky Broadband’s commitment to providing customers with a range of broadband speeds tailored to their needs.

"From our latest package for smaller households to our Ultrafast speeds for busy, connected homes, all delivered through our reliable network with outstanding customer service.”

Superfast 35 will cost £19.95 to set up and joins the Sky Broadband family with a range of packages including:
