Defender Matty Cash has been handed the honour of being Nottingham Forest’s first player in the Championship Team of the Week since the second tier restarted at the weekend.
Cash, who has been one of Forest’s outstanding performers this season since being shunted to right-back by boss Sabri Lamouchi, played a pivotal role in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.
It was Cash’s clever ball into the path of Joe Lolley which set the winger on his way towards the Wednesday goal, before unleashing a ferocious effort into the bottom of Joe Wildsmith's corner putting Lamouchi's play-off hopefuls a goal to the good.
That strike just 21 minutes from time looked like being enough for Forest to consolidate their place in the play-off places, only for some lax defending to allow Connor Wickham a free header to nod past Brice Samba deep into stoppage time earning the Owls a point.

For his part in the late equaliser, Crystal Palace loanee Wickham was named up front in the side, along with Swansea’s Rhian Brewster who bagged a brace in the 3-0 success at Boro.
Forest’s neighbours, Derby County, were also represented with young midfielder Louie Sibley, after his hat-trick at Millwall sealed a 3-2 victory to move the Rams within just three points of the top six.
Cardiff boss Neil Harris was named Manager of the Week for masterminding Sunday’s fine 2-0 victory over Leeds United in South Wales.
Reds fans, suffice to say, were not surprised by Cash’s latest accolade.
