Singha Park Chiang Rai International Balloon Fiesta 2018 is one of Asean's biggest international balloon competitions.
The annual competition, now in its third year, attracts contenders from 15 countries, who fill the sky above northern Thailand with 35 colourful balloons in myriad designs.
International competitors come from the United States, Italy, Australia, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, South Africa, France, South Korea, Philippines and Latvia, joining host nation Thailand.
Tourists who visit Singha Park enjoy taking snapshots of the balloons, which come in many styles and every colour, with several representing the icons or characteristics of their home country.
The event launched on Valentine's Day with a special activity which saw 20 couples get married up in the sky while riding balloons.
It truly is one of the most anticipated events of the year.
