Sky Glass customers left frustrated as orders are delayed for new product

Customers of Sky have taken to Twitter to express their frustrations while waiting to be able to purchase a new product.

Sky Glass, a brand new TV that runs off WiFi, was released today after being initially revealed on October 7.

The TV comes with only a single power cable as everything else is embedded into the TV.

It is available in three sizes and five colours to choose from, but will not include any Sky logos, with the company intending for it to fit in to any home.

To buy the product you need to pre-register your interest on the website.

However, some eager customers have been left frustrated as not everyone can get their hands on the product today.

Sky is prioritising sales of Sky Glass to Diamond and Platinum tier customers - those who have been loyal to the company for eight years or more.

Some consumers took to Twitter to express their disappointment.

George posted: "Phoned up to get Sky Glass and didn't realise that you needed to wait for a code."

He added: "I am in gold and was told platinum first. Really wanted sky glass but just have to wait."

Another user said: "This should of been [sic] stated when announcing Sky Glass.

"I have no issue with the priority, but to not state the terms isn’t helpful and left many disappointed."

Stephen stated: "Watch out guys unless you have been with Sky for eight years you ain’t getting sky glass yet."

Sky are responding to peoples concerns by saying: "Sky Glass is in high demand, so we’re currently prioritising our pre-registered Diamond & Platinum customers. We are currently working though pre-registrations now.

"It'll then be available for other customers. We don't have an exact date to offer but we're excited for all customers to experience Sky Glass."
