Sky customers can now access Amazon Prime Video through their set top box

This week, Sky Q customers will be able to download the Amazon Prime Video app on their set top box.

The news comes just in time with Amazon Prime Video's scheduled Premier League games over the course of December.

Amazon's pre-agreed live games start tonight, Tuesday December 15, with Wolverhampton Wanderers against Chelsea.

It launches at the same time NOW TV will also be made available on Fire TV devices and Fire TV Edition smart TVs.

The new multi-year partnership will be available across the UK and Europe bringing customers "unmissable TV and film in one place". A similar deal had also previously been agreed with popular streaming service Netflix.

Vice President of Prime Video Worldwide said: "With winter settling in, it’s a perfect time for Sky customers to catch up on our award-winning Prime Video TV shows, movies, and live sport, including Prime Video’s exclusive live broadcasts of 20 English Premier League games."

Stephen van Rooyen CEO of UK & Europe Sky, meanwhile, said: "Amazon Prime Video TV shows, movies and more will sit alongside Sky Originals and Netflix, as well as apps like Disney+, BBC iPlayer, FiiT and much more."
