Sky Broadband down in parts of Merseyside and Cheshire

Internet broadband services could be down in many areas of Wirral and Cheshire this morning due to repair work.

Sky announced their service might be affected between 10pm last night and 8am this morning as they update the fibre network system.

The fix is set to apply to those in Birkenhead, Bromborough, Claughton, Eastham, Ellesmere Port, Frodsham, Hale, Helsby, Hooton, Manley, Mountwood, Manor Park, Neston, Penketh, Runcorn East, Runcorn Main, Rock Ferry, Wallasey, Widnes, Arrowebrook, Caldy, Heswall, Hoylake and Irby.

A spokesman said: "We're improving our fibre network tonight in parts of North West England.

"You may experience a loss of service between 10pm and 8am."

"We're sorry for any inconvenience caused."
