Guard Allie Quigley had no interest in testing the waters of free agency. After planting roots in a Chicago suburb with her wife and teammate Courtney Vandersloot, the power couple made their intentions of staying in Chicago clear.

The Sky officially brought back half of VanderQuigs, signing Quigley to a multiyear contract, the team announced Wednesday. It’s only a matter of time before the team announces Vandersloot’s deal, a source told the Sun-Times.

Quigley returns to the Sky after what she called her “most memorable” WNBA season to date.

In 2019, Quigley was second on the team in scoring, averaging 13.8 points. She also led the league in three-point field goals made (70) and earned her third consecutive All-Star selection since becoming a full-time starter with the Sky in 2017.

“I know we are going to build off of that and be even better,” Quigley said. “I’m so thankful to be playing in front of my family and the best fans in the WNBA. I don’t ever take that for granted. I’m also so excited to be back with my teammates, they are like sisters now.”
