Sky and BT launch joint £360 saving on sport for lockdown

New Year discounts are now available from Sky's Deals & Offers page.

And among the savings being offered on Sky's TV and broadband packages is one reduction that should be of particular interest to sports fans.

A combined Sky Sports & BT Sport package has this week been slashed from £72 a month to £52 a month.

Throughout the course of the 18-month contract customers commit to, this works out at an overall saving of £360.

Nearly midway through both the Premier League and Championship seasons, and with UEFA's Champions and Europa Leagues set to restart in February, now would be seen as a good time to subscribe.

Sky and BT still retain the lion share of domestic football broadcasting rights, with BT Sports owning sole broadcasting rights of European action.

Away from football, fans of other sports will have plenty to enjoy also.

Sky Sports have specially-dedicated channels for cricket, golf, darts, Formula 1 and the NFL while BT Sport remains the home of both WWE wrestling and the UFC.

Most of Sky and BT's boxing coverage is, however, behind the pay-wall of a one-time Box-Office payment. In that particular market, a new competitor has recently entered the market in the form of DAZN.
