A father and daughter targeted in the Salisbury poisoning have fled the UK to start a new life, it is claimed.
Sergei and Yulia Skripal have spent two years in an MI5 safe house following the attempt on their lives.
But their family now believe they are in a secret location abroad, The Sun reports.
They were discovered unconscious on a bench in the Wiltshire city in March 2018.
Former KGB spy Mr Skripal, 68, and Yulia, 36, were both placed in a coma after the assassination attempt, using nerve agent Novichok.
Tragically the substance caused the death of Dawn Sturgess, 44, and left her boyfriend Charlie Rowley, 45, fighting for his life after they were exposed to it on a perfume bottle found seven miles away.
Yulia’s aunt Natalia Pestsova, 67, said she has no idea where her relatives now are.
She told The Sun: “We heard so many things about their destiny — that they went to live in New Zealand.
"I just feel they’re alive, somewhere, somehow, and that we’re very unlikely to see them again.”
She said Yulia had not replied to messages on social media, despite having seen them - but she has been going through family profiles.
Ms Pestsova said: "I wonder if this is because she’s been missing us.”
The poisonings sparked a huge diplomatic crisis between Britain and Russia.
Intelligence chiefs pointed the finger of blame at Vladimir Putin's Russia, but the country has denied wrongdoing.
Two alleged spies, Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, are said to have carried out the bungled attempt to kill the Skripals - but they later claimed they made a trip to Wiltshire to view Salisbury Cathedral.
A forthcoming BBC drama, The Salisbury Poisonings, will be screened over three nights from June 14.
The plot of the drama will follow the public health response to the health crisis, centring primarily on Tracy Daszkiewicz, the director of public health at Wiltshire Council.
His Dark Materials actress Anne-Marie Duff portrays Daszkiewicz in the show who, according to writers Adam Patterson and Declan Lawn, is fighting "a lethal and invisible enemy that has appeared out of nowhere".
