Skoda refreshes large Kodiaq SUV to give it bigger appeal

THE revamped Skoda Kodiaq will have a bolder exterior, improved trims and safety systems, and new engines when it hits UK roads in July.

Priced from £27,650 on the road, the Czech marque’s large family SUV will be available to order from early next month in five familiar spec levels – SE, SE L, SportLine, luxurious L&K and sporty vRS.

The refresh includes a new in-your-face grille and bonnet, sharper styling for the bumpers, new LED lights front and back and a larger rear spoiler.

Buyers have a choice of five more efficient engines – three petrol and two diesels – with auto gearboxes and four-wheel drive available on selected models.

The sporting highlight is a new 245PS 2.0-litre petrol unit for the new 4WD vRS model (its price has still to be announced).

Safety is improved by enhanced adaptive cruise control and front and rear collision systems, while the £41,720 L&K includes a smart virtual cockpit.
