Skip Bayless shocked NBA fans after he finally admitted that LeBron James was clutch

Skip Bayless has spent nearly two decades watching the best basketball player of this generation, LeBron James, and finding a reason to explain why LeBron actually isn’t that good.

He seemingly leveraged that single hot take into an entire career in sports television. Whether it’s LeBron having a cold-shooting game or LeBron playing well (but not in the way Michael Jordan would) or LeBron dunking at his kid’s game, Bayless has always been the first to critique LeBron.

So, you can imagine the NBA world’s surprise when Bayless took a 180 on that decades-long take during Sunday’s Game 2 against the Houston Rockets.

Bayless did the unthinkable and admitted that LeBron James is clutch.

Uh … are you OK, Skip? Was this a veiled distress signal? Honestly, it was probably a setup for Skip to criticize LeBron in a future game. I’m not falling for it.

NBA fans couldn’t believe what they were reading, though.

Fast forward to Monday, the compliments were short-lived.

Welcome back, Skip.
