Skip Bayless says that Julian Edelman is on a ‘Hall of Fame trajectory’

Will Julian Edelman become a Hall of Fame wide receiver? That’s the question that was posed after he was named Super Bowl MVP last season.

Many will argue that his regular season production isn’t nearly impressive enough to make it to Canton. Edelman only has two regular seasons with more than 1,000 receiving yards, so that argument is completely valid. But, it’s his postseason work that could give him some leverage.

Edelman is second to legendary receiver Jerry Rice in postseason receptions (115) and receiving yards (1,412).  He’s tied with Michael Irvin for the second-most postseason games with 100-plus receiving yards (6). He’s a three time Super Bowl champion and he’s not done yet. New England is 8-1 currently and on their way to another postseason run.

Here’s why Skip Bayless believes that Edelman could find himself with the gold jacket one day.

Rice recently went out and said that Edelman has the best footwork in the NFL, which is a huge compliment for a 32 year old slot receiver.

Edelman still has a long ways to go to achieve this incredible feat, but his continued success in the playoffs could give him an unorthodox case to become a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
