A skier came oh-so close to completing a flip and sticking the landing—seated on an empty chairlift. Or at least as close as someone will likely ever come.
Instead, it was a crash landing.
Ivan Jones was making the freeskiing moves at Lake Louise Ski Resort on Saturday when Cadence Amelia captured video of his near immaculate—albeit unintentional—leap into a chairlift.
“All you needed was a little more rotation,” one commenter on Instagram wrote. “You got it next time!”

“I’m not saying do it again…but you were MAD close to landing perfectly seated on the chair,” another commenter wrote.
Jones is said to have walked away with only a few bruises, but he reportedly broke the armrest off the side of the chair.
“Absolutely insane,” another commenter wrote.
