Skerries influencer SoSueMe rakes in millions during pandemic

Businesswoman and blogger Suzanne Jackson, also known as SoSueMe, had another massive year as her companies brought in millions in profits in 2020.

The pandemic didn't hurt business for the 37-year-old as the companies owned by the Skerries native confirmed soaring profits.

The successful Dub is the founder and CEO of hit beauty brand SOSUbySJ and is also co-owner of SanFran Cosmetics Limited alongside businessman Fran O'Gorman.

She also presents RTE show The Style Counsellors and continues her successful career as an influencer.

2020 saw Ms Jackson's company Cohar Ltd hit profits of €2.1million, an increase of 29.5%, according to Independent.ie

The company allowed €300,000 to be paid in dividends to Ms Jackson's Glowbell UC.

Cash funds at Cohar Ltd at the end of 2020 totalled €3million.

SanFran Cosmetics Ltd saw a sharp drop in post-tax profits for 2020, going from €3million in 2019 to €989,759 last year.

One reason for the drop is that directors Ms Jackson and Mr O'Gorman were paid €500,000, compared to zero in 2019.

The two directors each own 50% stake in SanFran Cosmetics Ltd and the company's cash funds has now accumulated to €2.1m.

SanFran Cosmetics Ltd sells SoSueMe's branded beauty products such as palettes and eye lashes.

SoSueMe's social media pages have also seen a jump. The Facebook page has over 338,000 followers and the Instagram page has more than 330,000 followers, a jump of 46,000 in a year.

Profits for SoSueMe Ltd last year increased by €261,108, with accumulated profits of over €2million.

While 2020 was a huge year for Suzanne, 2021 and 2022 are likely to be even better and she has launched another new business. The Dubliner has teamed up with influencer Terrie McEvoy and businesswoman Siobhan Murray for Mantra Official, a new online shoe company.

Not only is Suzanne enjoying business success, but this year she relocated to Portugal with her husband, leaving gloomy Ireland behind for the sun, sea and sand.
