There are few genres of video games more closely tied to their soundtracks than that of extreme sports, and skating games in particular. The soundtracks for the Tony Hawk series are among the most iconic video game soundtracks of all time and shaped the musical tastes of an entire generation of gamers who spent countless hours shredding to “Superman” by Goldfinger or Rage Against the Machine’s “Guerilla Radio” while hitting tricks and finding tapes.
The developers behind .skate understand the important responsibility of finding the right songs to soundtrack their game and that people are highly interested in learning how that soundtrack with expand and evolve over the course of the game as digital skating moves into the live service market.
