The world of skate. is getting a spooky makeover this week. EA and Full Circle have officially launched the Skate-o-Ween event — a limited-time seasonal celebration that trades realism for eerie charm. Running from October 21 through November 11, Skate-o-Ween brings new park decorations, themed rewards, and rotating weekly tasks to the streets of San Vansterdam.
This is the first major live event since skate.‘s release last month, and it’s a clear attempt to liven up the game’s community parks with something a little more festive. According to EA’s announcement, Skate-o-Ween isn’t meant to be a traditional Halloween scarefest. Instead, it’s “more about fun than fright,” giving players new ways to show off their creativity with cosmetics and things such as Build Kit items.
Haunted Park And Event Tasks

The biggest change players will notice right away is the makeover of several community parks. One of the featured areas, Gullcrest Village, will now feature a Halloween-themed layout with a haunted house centerpiece, burning flame effects, giant spiders, and a massive skull balloon looming overhead. It’s an unmistakable backdrop for what Full Circle is calling a “skate, don’t scare” celebration.
Every week of the event introduces new event tasks, but the studio confirmed that none of them will expire until Skate-o-Ween ends. That means that players can take their time tackling all three weeks of objectives. Completing tasks rewards Chocolate Coins, a temporary event currency used to unlock new gear and props.
The tasks themselves range from simple challenges like “Land 15 Hippy Jumps” to more complex goals such as “Earn score in sequences that include a Coffin” or “Land sequences with a Body Flip at Skate-o-Ween Community Parks.” Players can also take on special event challenges like Skate the Web (Line), Dreadful Drop (Stunt), Ghostly Grind (OTS), and Sinister Sprinfest (Session) — each themed around the Halloween season.
Rewards And Cosmetics

The event also includes a First Login reward, plus daily free currency in the in-game shop. Among the available cosmetics are the Green and Red Witch Masks, a new Zombie gesture, and themed profile backgrounds like Bad Luck. Players can also decorate their builds with props, including Jack-o’-Lanterns, tombstones, and other haunted decor.
A follow-up event, the 7-Ply Maple Harvest, is already on the horizon, suggesting that Full Circle plans to keep a steady rotation of seasonal content rolling out.
