skate. Early Access Season 1 Begins October 7 With New Content

EA announced the Early Access Roadmap for skate. after a few weeks of the release on 16th September. It was announced that Season 1 of skate. should start sometime in October and should last till December. Well, EA has provided the official release date of Season 1 along with the content it’s going to bring to the game. 

Electronic Arts and developer Full Circle have officially confirmed that skate.’s  Early Access Season 1 will begin on October 7, 2025, and will last till December 2, 2025. Starting with this seasonal format, the game is introducing a host of features to keep San Vansterdam fresh and fun.

What’s New in Season 1 Of Skate?

The developers announced that Season 1 will bring a lot of content to the game. From new cosmetics, gameplay improvements, season events, new skating brands, customization, to modifications to San Vansterdam to make it even more friendly. Here is everything that’s announced in Season 1:

New skateable areas and visual enhancements: Expect improved lighting, aesthetic updates, and expansions to areas like The Orb and The Skateway to make them even more skater-friendly.

Seasonal events

  • Skate-o-Ween (Oct 21 – Nov 11) — a festive Halloween-style celebration complete with spooky décor and themed costumes. 
  • 7-Ply Maple Harvest (Nov 18 – Dec 2) — a seasonal festival centered around the city’s legendary maple trees, with event rewards and custom community parks. 

Challenges and Tasks: Season 1 will introduce 40 rotating weekly challenges, along with daily, weekly, seasonal, and event-specific tasks. You get rewarded with Tix (a brand new currency for season pass progression) for completing these objectives and challenges.

skate. Pass system: As with most F2P games, skate. now also has a Battle Pass called the skate. Pass, featuring a free version and a paid version.

New brands & soundtrack: The in-game store will gain new skateboard brands like Santa Cruz, Creature, and Independent. On top of that, Season 1 also brings 21 new songs with a 1990s vibe to the playlist. The featured artists include Bad Religion, Ice Cube, Dinosaur Jr., Jane’s Addiction, and Sonic Youth.

Quality-of-life improvements: Alongside content additions, Season 1 will roll out lighting tweaks, performance improvements, and UI enhancements across platforms.

All in all, Season 1 sounds promising. skate. had been getting stale after the release, as most players had already explored all of San Vansterdam. The new content should give the players more to play around with.
